Summary: While Darcy is preoccupied with planning his own proposal to Miss Bennet, he accidentally gives Col. Fitzwilliam the encouragement he needs to do the same. Thus, Elizabeth gets two marriage proposals.

Gioia’s Rec:
I am beginning to suspect that I ought to just post a general recommendation for everything by this author!  This was another lovely, romantic tale, in which we get to see more of a glimpse into Elizabeth and Darcy’s minds as their romance develops than canon permitted.  The pacing on the story is pitch-perfect and the characterizations dead-on.
My one critique: The reasoning behind Col. Fitzwilliam’s proposal seemed a tad shaky to me, as I was surprised that he so quickly gave up on the idea of marrying someone who’s fortune would support him. But as we don’t know that much about him from canon, that’s probably not a criticism worth any real concern.
