Summary: Though their acceptance of Darcy’s marriage was slow in coming, five years after their marriage, Darcy and Elizabeth can enjoy having his family for the holidays.

Gioia’s Rec:
There’s a lot of emotional punch in this one. Elizabeth and Darcy are vindicated a bit when the Earl admits before all that he was mistaken in not accepting their marriage initially. But it’s the conversation between Bingley and Darcy about the way love changes over the years that is particularly powerful. Great writing!
