Gioia’s Rec:
Inell is deservedly renowned in the HP fandom for her delicious smut.  But what is often overlooked is the gift she has for unresolved sexual tension, abiding friendships, and brilliant, character-based fics.  This story is one such example.  Remus and Hermione are working together companionably in a post-war world (not Deathly Hallows compliant), going through the books and artifacts that Voldemort left behind.  This fic captures a moment when they are researching a lead at the same time that Hermione has finally come to terms with her growing respect and attraction for Remus.  I absolutely love the in-character glimpse into Hermione’s brain.  She is at turns confident, awkward, embarrassed, frustrated, defensive and highly intuitive.  Inell’s Hermione is a solid example of a character with far more than “the emotional depth of a teaspoon,” which makes the story quite easy to immerse one’s self in.
