Gioia’s Rec:
Rhetor has a gift for writing HP fics from the POV of outside characters or minor characters, and this story is one such example. It’s interesting how well we can get to know the canon characters when viewing them through someone else’s eyes. Hermione and Harry are both extremely well developed in this fic. Harry and Ginny’s romance is so deep and real that it brings tears to my eyes. And Hermione’s depth of emotion and analytical look at the war feel so true to life for her. Rhetor also has a gift for writing angsty fics which manage to leave one feeling enormously uplifted. This fic is no exception.
