Gioia’s Rec:
A series of missing moments from Deathly Hallows come alive here in kaymbee’s story about what went on at Hogwarts during Neville Longbottom’s 7th year.  Dumbledore’s Army thrives even during the darkest hours.  With Neville calling the shots, the Room of Requirement becomes a safe haven for those who have pushed the Carrows too far, or who simply need a place to heal.  Thirteen days are examined from Neville’s point of view from the time he goes into hiding until Harry comes to declare war.  I was caught up in the fic, heart-racing, from start to finish.  The story feels very JKR-ish, with canny insights into the thoughts and motivations of numerous side characters.  A connected series of character exploration drabbles – which really deserve a rec on their own merits – can be found here.
