Gioia’s Rec:
In this story, Ginny wasn’t made prefect at the start of her 5th year. It isn’t that she wanted to be a prefect – really! It’s just that when she isn’t asked to be one, she can’t help but wonder if it’s because of what happened in her first year. In this story, Ginny and Harry talk it out and they both learn a little bit about themselves and each other. It’s a very thoughtful, fluffy, warm kind of story. Nothing overt happens, it’s just some really sweet foreshadowing. Written pre-HBP, the characters are amazingly in-character and the story is just shy of being a missing moment from HBP.  The brilliant writing should come as no surprise, given who the authors are.  You’ll find numerous stories by these two rec’ed on my blog, including some in the Pride & Prejudice fandom.
