Story Summary: One is the Boy Who Lived, the other the Greatest Wizard in the World. They are watched by all, friend and enemy. And in the wake of Harry’s disastrous fifth year, everybody has an opinion.

Gioia’s Rec:
This is a perfect response to “Here Be Monsters” by the same author. This story is actually a series of one-parters in which various characters present their POV of the relationship between Dumbledore and Harry. It’s easy to understand the hurt and resentment that are often present. The bottom line, though, is that the events of OotP, around which these fics are centered, created a lot of hurt and a lot of questions. And we see in this story that the characters all look toward Dumbledore for answers and justice that he’s unable to provide. This fic, therefore, helped me see OotP with a broader perspective; understanding that Harry isn’t the only one who was grieving and disillusioned in the end. Truly a brilliant story. Dzeytoun has a real gift for climbing inside the heads of these canon characters and making them all the more real.

Featured POVs: Sprout, McGonagall, Arthur Weasley, Snape, Flitwick, Tonks, Moody, Draco Malfoy, Remus Lupin, Ron Weasley, Petunia Dursley, Umbridge, Percy Weasley, Sirius Black, Hermione, Mundungus Fletcher, Bill Weasley.
